How to structure the excavator product line
Excavators are grouped by operating weight (tonnage): mini (1-6 t) for municipal and landscaping work, small (6-15 t) for rural and light jobs, medium (15-30 t) as the earthmoving workhorse, and large (30 t+) for mining and major infrastructure. Group your site by tonnage so buyers can locate models by application.
The five core parameters
Buyers care most about five parameters: bucket capacity (m³) - output per cycle; operating weight (kg) - transport and site limits; engine power (kW) - working efficiency; bucket digging force (kN) - whether it can cut hard ground; and max digging depth (mm) - which jobs it fits. List every parameter clearly on the detail page with technical drawings.
Model benchmarking
Benchmark against mainstream models for side-by-side comparison: Caterpillar CAT 320/336, Komatsu PC200/PC360, Hitachi ZX200, Volvo EC200, Hyundai R215, SANY SY215, XCMG XE215 and LiuGong CLG922. Build a comparison table with tonnage and core parameters so buyers instantly see your positioning.
Detail pages and selection guidance
Detail pages should include high-res exterior photos, on-site working videos, a structured spec table (PDF download), technical drawings with dimensions, and optional configurations (breaker, quick coupler, long reach arm). Guide selection by application - earthmoving, quarrying, demolition, forestry - recommending the right tonnage and configuration to cut pre-sales effort.
Inquiry conversion
Excavators are whole-machine trade with high parts repurchase. Add a pre-filled model inquiry button and accept both "machine inquiry" and "parts inquiry", with an FAQ covering parts supply, warranty, technical training, shipping and customs clearance.
Markets and multilingual
Southeast Asia values value-for-money and parts supply, the Middle East values project credentials and durability, Africa values price and parts, Latin America values agricultural and small machines. Match languages to markets (Arabic RTL for the Middle East) and highlight each market's priorities.
